AVP, DevSecOps Engineer

Job Overview:

As an AVP DevSecOps Engineer, You would be designing and implementing DevSecOps Process, Cutting-Edge Tools and Best of Breed Frameworks that span across the Organization. Responsible for automated build, deployment and release orchestration (authorized, repeatable, secure, and auditable) allowing the developer community to release and ship their features faster eventually improving delivery productivity and Time to Market

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, and maintenance of CI/CD infrastructure

  • Design and develop fully functional container-based deployments utilizing Kubernetes

  • Implementation and troubleshooting of continuous deployment pipelines using Octopus Deploy.

  • Work with infrastructure and software development teams to implement CI/CD automation on-prem and in AWS.

  • Provide support for software platforms and CICD Tools including but not limited to SourceCode, Security, Build, Deployment tools and frameworks.

  • Scripting to provide automation solutions.

  • Identify and implement solutions for inefficiencies in current processes.

  • Maintain awareness of emergent technologies related to the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Recommend and approve new solutions to be assigned as projects for implementation.

  • Promote improvements in configuration management, provisioning, software deployment, vulnerability identification, and security compliance.

  • Contribute to the drive towards DevOps methodology with development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and API integrations.

  • Influence and implement current and strategic architectural blueprints supporting high availability, scalability.

  • Coordinate with Release, Infrastructure, Middleware, Developers, Quality and other support teams to create and achieve win-win solutions

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ DevSecOps experience, Software Engineering

  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft stack.

  • Hands-on experience to common container and container orchestration solutions (e.g. Docker Enterprise, Kubernetes, AWS ECS)

  • Hands-on experience with Microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or server less technology

  • Experience rolling out workflows through GitHub Actions

  • Basic scripting skills using PowerShell, Python and YAML

  • Experience with design and implementation of cloud-based software deployments

  • Experience with GitHub, TeamCity, OctopusDeploy and Liquibase

  • Must have a Technology related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Core Competencies:

  • Has Technical depth across the full DevOps spectrum along with leading and evangelizing transformations, and driving innovation

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Soft skills are a must-have; service oriented, ability to work with both software, security and infrastructure teams.

  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following:

    • Docker Containers and Kubernetes

    • GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, AWS

    • PowerShell scripting, YAML & Terraform

    • Software security standards and protection of sensitive data

    • Exemplary collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Skill and ability in multi-tasking and appropriate prioritization

  • Ability to effectively respond to dynamically changing work environment

  • Ability to identify good opportunities for automation or orchestration.

  • Must be proactive and look for improvement opportunities consistently

Preferences:

  • Coding experience a plus
