Job Overview:

This role will provide technical leadership while partnering with Business and Product teams for implementing a data platform that provides a scalable, future proof architecture to address domain data and API needs of LPL

Responsibilities:

  • Experience leading multiple development teams across various value streams providing nurturing leadership and talent development efforts for successful project delivery, application, and platform support.

  • Build cross-functional rapport with other leaders in the tech and prod organizations for help navigating through dependencies, risk mitigation or triaging issues to resolution.

  • Lead requirement analysis and design discussions with users, technical and business stakeholders and monitor all agile ceremonies with teams

  • Have good understanding of cloud architecture and design, with an emphasis on secure, distributed hybrid cloud platforms.

  • Very strong understanding of large databases/data warehouses and data architecture

  • Have a deep understanding of API design, the difference between platform design and application design, and the tooling to create modern APIs.

  • The ability to partner, influence and shape technology modernization decisions and outcomes throughout the enterprise.

  • Understanding of SecDevOps practices and tooling, with an emphasis on implementing continuous deliver within a highly regulated environment.

  • Ability to drive solutions across multiple aspects and considered a SME.

  • Contribute to the development lifecycle, including platform/system and database architecture, and QA processes in a Scaled Agile framework (SAFe) methodology.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with executive presence.

  • Communicates status of technology product and backlog readiness to outside team members

  • Creates best practices for team members to follow to meet key objectives of the technology platform.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of professional SDLC experience in a diverse set of technology disciplines

  • 10+ years in a technical management capacity in an enterprise with a high performing technical team

  • 2+ years of financial services/brokerage firm experience

  • 2+ years working with and managing remote teams (onshore & offshore) including vendor relationships

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Core Competencies:

  • Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools

  • Experience working with Net Core, AWS Cloud and open source technologies

  • Experience working with SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake databases/data warehouse

  • Master Data Management Experience

  • API Design Experience

  • Is visible, vocal, and objective. Exemplary collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Superior skill and ability in multi-tasking and appropriate prioritization

  • Has technical vision and can drive best in class solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Motivated and driven by achieving strategic technical solutions

Preferences:

  • Cloud Architecture certification preferred

  • Financial services experience

  • Experience with data platforms on premises and the cloud

  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification (PO/PM) preferred
