The Fixed Income Strategist within the LPL Financial Research Department will support the Director of Research in providing investment strategy research with a fixed income emphasis. As a member of the Investment Management Committee, the fixed income strategist will contribute to portfolio positioning decisions, provide broader macroeconomic insights, and present views to the committee to help drive Research model portfolio performance. You will collaborate with and provide analytical support to other investment and market strategists and content creators. You will be tasked with creating thought-provoking content for financial advisors and enterprise clients, also present investment views to advisors and enterprise clients on conference calls, webinars, and, eventually, at LPL events.
What does your success look like in the first 90 days?
Success will be measured mostly by contributions to management and adoption of the LPL Research model portfolios across various investment platforms, primarily but not exclusively through fixed income analysis. Success will also be measured by the quality and breadth of analysis and insights provided for advisors, enterprise clients, and their end clients through investment commentaries to assist them with asset allocation decisions and improve advisor-client and enterprise-client relationships.

What skills, experiences, and education are required?
- 3+ years fixed income (i.e. bonds, ETFs) experience, preferably with a broker-dealer or asset management firm
- Familiarity with analytical software such as Bloomberg and FactSet
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications are strongly preferred
- Financial industry certifications are a plus
- Bachelor degree
- MBA, CFA, and Series 7 are strongly preferred
