Job overview:

You will lead a team of Regional Wealth Consultants (RWC) who are responsible for driving Net New Asset (NNA) growth from LPL Advisors. The RWCs impact NNA growth by creating awareness of and utilization of our Wealth Management Solutions. At LPL Financial, our stated mission is “to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their clients.” In line with this statement, the Divisional Manager is responsible for helping to build a culture and an environment where members of the team are empowered to live our mission statement. You will provide guidance to assist the respective RWCs in meeting their specific territory sales goals and are responsible for achieving the stated sales goals for the overall team.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with DM counterparts in creating and executing strategy across the RWC team to drive same store sales growth
  • Be responsible for ideation and execution of initiatives within the Wealth Consulting team and broader National Sales organization
  • Incentive compensation planning, performance management, and assessment
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management, administration, and support of your direct RWC employees (T&E budget, activity, etc.)
  • Partner with other LPL business units and sponsor firms to bring value added education resources to advisors
  • Travel within the division and nationally (~2 weeks/month) in support of team/firm functions and to observe/train RWCs

What does your success look like in the first 90 days?

You will spend the first 90 days familiarizing yourself with the LPL culture, LPL systems, the advisory and wealth management platforms, and the various business units across the firm. You will engage with your DM counterparts (virtually) and the National Sales Manager to become acquainted with the role.  Travel policy permitting, the DM will visit the LPL Home Office in Fort Mill, SC to meet members of the organization.

What skills, experiences, and education are required?

  • Exceptional communication skills including virtual and live presentation skills
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Financial Services industry preferably as a wholesaler, or sales manager
  • Demonstrated sales and/or sales management success
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or both 63 and 65 instead)
  • CFP, CFA, CIMA, or CWS preferred
