Job Overview:

Fiduciary Trust Company (FTC) an affiliate of LPL Financial LLC is a New Hampshire state charted trust company based in Cleveland Ohio specializing in serving as retirement custodian for select retirement plans sponsored by the broker dealer. FTC is part of a growing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial business assisting advisors and their clients in investment and financial advice.  FTC has an opportunity for an individual who can work in an innovative environment while managing tactical business operations and governance functions across the organization.  This individual will create and disseminate routine and critical company financial reports, be the lead contact and manage document requests during audit and regulatory examinations as well as coordinating quarterly Board Meetings.  This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of internal audits and external audits and regulatory examinations.  In addition, this leader will be responsible for delivering exceptional board reporting to ensure that the Board of Directors have the necessary information to adequately oversee the firm.


  • Assisting the President and Chief Financial Officer with managing the firm.

  • Lead point of contact for the compliance program including risk assessments, development and implementation of internal controls as well as all compliance reporting.

  • Lead the overall vendor management program including assessment, documentation of annual vendor reviews as well as monitoring any and all remediation plans.

  • Lead point of contact for Board and Audit Committees to include maintenance of annual governance calendar and the creation of Quarterly Board of Directors and Audit Committee Reports.

  • Liaise with LPL Corporate Accounting to facilitate monthly reporting as well as annual budgets.

  • Lead point of contact for all internal audits, annual risk assessments, external financial statement audits as well as regulatory exams.

  • Ownership of all policies and procedures insuring that they are updated and approved by Board of Directors annually.

  • Lead point of contact for Anti-Money Laundering program including prescreening and monitoring compliance efforts.

  • Lead conversion efforts for assets to be converted to LPL as well as those assets to be retained.

  • Primary point of contact for any and all issues that arise for the firm.

This individual will interact with and may support other trust professionals at The Private Trust Company, another affiliate of LPL Financial as well as professionals across LPL Financial.  


  • An ideal Candidate should have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an administrative role in the trust, retirement, brokerage, and investment management or accounting fields.  The ideal Candidate would also possess a Bachelor’s degree and have strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Candidate should be a self-starter with excellent leadership, analytical, customer service and communication skills.

  • Leadership – must be comfortable in a fast paced environment and maintain own deadlines.

  • Broad Financial and Business Management expertise

  • Communication – must be able to express ideas clearly, concisely and impactful, both verbally and in presentations to executive leadership levels.

  • Project and time management skills.

  • Technical skills – must have high proficiency with software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Listening – ability to listen actively and attentively.

  • Interpersonal skills – relates well to people at all levels; builds appropriate rapport; uses diplomacy and tact.

  • Problem solving skills, Detail-oriented and organized.
