The Private Trust Company (PTC) has a corporate value of creating a client-centric culture and this role is pivotal to driving that agenda and delivering high quality service levels to clients and advisors. This role is responsible for assisting in delivering exceptional investment research, advisor oversight, customer service experiences, including accurate, timely and effective communication and investment trading activities among clients and advisors, including high-net-worth accounts, while working as a team with the Chief Investment Officer.
Success in this position would lead to higher satisfaction and improved advisor adoption of the PTC open architecture fiduciary model. The Candidate will participate primarily in assisting the Sr. Investment Specialist and Associate Business Manager in managing investments and monitoring advisor oversight.
Sr. Investment Specialist duties will include:
- Assisting with reports and analysis supporting the Trust Investment Committee.
- Support information gathering for Product, Service and Research Oversight and Due Diligence.
- Monitoring portfolio drift and recommending rebalancing strategies.
- Support for Life Insurance Trusts
- Preparing trades as appropriate to manage investments as well as create liquidity for trust distributions.
- Assisting with a consistent communication and follow up plan with Advisor Teams, when necessary, throughout the investment advisor oversight process.
- Managing a dashboard to support the investment function as well as the overall performance of the middle office.
This individual will interact with other PTC professionals as well as investment advisors in and out of LPL Financial. This individual will coordinate the calendar of the Trust Investment Committee meetings, and supporting the Chief Investment Officer in monitoring the overall effectiveness of the investment process within the firm.
Other duties may include: interacting with clients and client service providers, handling client requests, research, preparing management reports and spreadsheets.
Education & Experience
An ideal Candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in a research and administrative role in the trust, legal, brokerage, investment or accounting fields. The ideal Candidate would also possess a Bachelor’s degree and have strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Candidate should be a self-starter with excellent analytical, customer service and communication skills.

- Communication – must be able to express ideas clearly, concisely and with impact, both verbally and in presentations to executive leadership levels.
- Project and time management skills.
- Technical skills – must have thorough working knowledge of computer systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Listening – ability to listen actively and attentively.
- Interpersonal skills – relates well to people at all levels; builds appropriate rapport; uses diplomacy and tact.
- Problem solving skills, Detail-oriented and organized.

Pay Range:
$19.75-$29.63/hour
The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
