Trust Specialist

Job Description

The Private Trust Company (PTC), an affiliate of LPL Financial, is seeking to hire a Trust Administration Assistant.  PTC is a growing, entrepreneurial business located in Cleveland, Ohio, that assists families with financial wealth management.  We offer the sophistication of our experienced trust and investment officers combined with a high level of customer service to our clients to plan and implement transfers of wealth to future generations. 

The Trust Administration Assistant will participate primarily in general trust cashiering functions by receiving, coordinating and processing requests of Trust Officers while ensuring proper documentation is obtained and scanned in support of Trust Administration’s cashiering activities.

Other duties include:

  • Supporting the Trust Administration Team by processing deposits, disbursements and transfers of cash via the trust accounting system
  • Coordinating and executing trust officer requests
  • Processing income and principal transactions to client accounts
  • Interfacing with Trust Operations and/or Middle Office to ensure the completion of transaction processing
  • Tracking transfers of cash via the trust accounting system and the custodial platform
  • Scanning and filing of documents including materials supporting cash movement requests,  as needed
  • Gathering proper documentation and correspondence, as needed
  • Research

    Education & Experience

    While no prior experience is required, the ideal candidate will possess demonstrated expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite of products and general computer skills. The candidate should be a self-starter and communicate effectively.  Experience of 1+ years in the trust, brokerage, investment or accounting fields are a plus.

    The Candidate must be organized and efficient, possess acute listening skills, maintain extreme focus to detail and accuracy and execute directions precisely.  This individual will be interacting with other staff to perform the daily functions of this position.  The ability to build appropriate rapport and relate well to people is crucial.  The candidate must be able to express ideas clearly in both verbal and written forms of communication.  Additional responsibilities and career growth are anticipated for motivated individuals.
