The Assistant Vice President will partner and lead a number of strategic initiatives across the LPL organization, including shepherding initiatives through the entire lifecycle of initiatives (Empathize, Define, Prototype, Test, and Implement). Examples of initiatives this role will support include implementing Next Best Action for financial advisors, developing innovative ways to leverage LPL’s data as a strategic asset, and building new data & analytics solutions for advisors and partners.
What will you do?
Leverage data to create insights and analyses to solve complex business problems for stakeholders across LPL, including but not limited to customer segmentation, data visualization (dashboards), lead generation and prioritization, and next-best action.
Communicate and coordinate across various Data & Analytics functions, such as Data Science, Data Strategy and Governance, and Digital Analytics, to ensure Data & Analytics brand is consistent and receive diverse feedback on work product.
Create and manage reports & dashboards with tools such as Tableau and Python. This will require working programmatically with data from multiple sources and developing quantitative measures to generate insight for clients.
Develop deep analysis and understanding on how advisor behavior and marketplace events impact advisor growth and associated product sales
Conduct ad-hoc analyses as appropriate to support priority business projects; Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc questions from executives
What skills, experiences, and education are required?
Bachelor's degree in Decision Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
At least 4 years of related work experience in an advanced analytics role supporting sales, finance, marketing, or operations.
Experience with a programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, R)
Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), distributed technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
Experience with data modeling and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
