Associate Financial Rotational Analyst

Job Description

Key Finance Rotations (Analysts will complete 3 rotations among the following):

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) directs budgeting, forecasting, and analytical processes that support LPL’s financial health and business strategy.

Corporate FP&A oversees gross profit forecasting, board communications, corporate goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs), among other functions. The team also collaborates with Divisional FP&A to set budget targets. Divisional FP&A handles the annual budget, monthly forecast, and actual financial results at the divisional level. The team works with business partners to understand financial needs, strategic initiative effects, and key business drivers. Business Analytics & Reporting (BAR) manages the administration, maintenance, and development of FinTech solutions, including EFA, Hyperion, and Alteryx. It’s also responsible for metrics and reporting Technology Investment Portfolio group drives Investment Committee processes, including business cases and project tracking.

Capital Management oversees LPL’s liquidity, funding, and capital through balance sheet management, M&A, and Capital Markets. The department also provides capital solutions to help advisors successfully manage and grow their practices.

Advisor M&A and Capital Solutions helps fund advisor firm mergers and acquisitions and guides advisors through the due diligence and negotiating processes; leverages LPL's balance sheet to provide advisors access to capital for growth. Advisor CFO Solutions works with LPL advisors to create a customized plan to help them grow, improve business efficiency, and increase the value of their business using data, insight, and strategy Corporate M&A develops and executes the firm’s merger and acquisition (M&A) strategy. This includes scale acquisitions, such as assets and advisors from other broker-dealers, and capability acquisitions, such as technologies or capabilities that support the firm’s M&A strategy.​​​ Capital Markets and Capital Management ensures compliance with debt covenants, manages dividend payments and share repurchase programs, and makes recommendations on the disposition of company-owned securities. 

Desired Qualifications Include:

  • Financial modeling, analysis, and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting & finance concepts
  • Strong communication required
  • Highly motivated and able to perform in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Presents well, independently solves problems, and works well on a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LPL platform, products, industry, and services a plus
