The Assistant Vice President position will be part of an innovative entrepreneurial, high-performing team that is leading the evolution of LPL’s go-to-market strategy with new business lines and advisor affiliation models within our new Advisor Solutions organization. The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for leading and executing our Affiliation Models day-to-day program development, in addition to driving large initiatives to increase adoption across Affiliation Models including technology improvements.  This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple bodies of rapidly evolving work simultaneously, and demonstrate the ability to creatively define and execute plans to solve highly complex matters.  A successful candidate will demonstrate strategic and creative thinking skills, a strong ability to turn analytics into compelling insights, and be capable of concise oral and written communication. The individual will play a critical role in enabling our advisors to operate, engage, grow, and thrive in a manner that is superior to alternative platforms.

 What will you do as the Assistant Vice President, Program Development?

  • Ensure an exemplary advisor experience with new affiliation models by coordinating with internal partners through discussion, demonstration, and leading by example to meet and exceed advisor expectations
  • Take an innovative and agile approach to building new products and improving processes by collaborating with all parts of LPL including LPL technology to define Advisor Businesses strategy and requirements.
  • Lead process improvement linked to the delivery of a winning client experience for Affiliation Models
  • Champion the vision of where the Affiliation Models are going next with key stakeholders to identify potential roadblocks and plan for scaling such roadblocks within the delivery of services, products, and features
  • Responsible for leading complex projects with the priority being the advisor experience while leading and obtaining collaborative consensus across various parts of LPL.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal team members and business partners to strategize and develop innovative solutions for an industry-leading adviser experience.
  • Ability to efficiently project mange and provide analysis and reporting on a variety of strategic initiatives impacting Affiliation Models and assist in creating and implementing best practices for project implementation and reporting via PowerPoint, Excel, BOX.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when supporting multiple workflows and manual processes.
  • Define and continually refine key attributes of existing and new offerings including the product pricing, business case, economics, operational model

What skills, experiences and/or education is required?

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present materials to the highest levels in the organization, and the ability to frame complex issues
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and its objectives
  • Passion for driving the Advisor and Investor experience and ability to persuade others to share this vision, collaborate and execute.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 4-7+ years of experience in product management related roles with a broker dealer, RIA, investment or financial services firm
  • Working knowledge of components relevant to an advisor’s practice management needs (Assets, Revenue, Sales, Trends, Client Segmentation)
  • An entrepreneurial drive and a do-what-it-takes attitude, grounded in tangible results to improve the advisor experience, ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize  / monitor workload to meet project deadlines, and collaborate across multiple business units
  • Experience working on a project team and meeting project timelines while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience MS Office suite, with a particular proficiency with PowerPoint required. Advanced excel skills highly preferred.
  • Must be able to learn quickly in a fast paced environment to develop a sound understanding of LPL Products and Processes
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail is required.
  • Must be able to handle competing priorities in a fast paced, high profile and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor when corresponding with internal and external partners.
  • Background in client-facing experience, financial services, and Agile Methodology including system experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other is welcome, but not required.
