AVP, Business Consulting

The AVP, IAS Business Consulting  supports the effort to provide a consultative relationship with advisors by managing a team of Freedom/Director Club Relationship Managers. There is an emphasis on adoption of LPL products, services and tools to drive and enhance revenue, practice management, and end client service. Client interactions on a day-to-day basis include relationship management at the business owner level as well as with their staff.

S/he will be held accountable for implementing and executing the functional strategy for the team, goal setting with the team in support of that strategy, and ensuring alignment to department and business unit strategies.  S/he will plan and direct work processes within the scope of company practices and guidelines, and help identify emerging trends and recommend strategies and tactics to enhance staff performance. This role will combine relationship management skills, sales skills, project management skills and team management in order to fully understand and achieve business growth, retention and satisfaction objectives of him/herself, and the team.

Essential Functions: (List in order of importance and estimate the percentage of time spent.  It is recommended to provide a minimum of three items but no more than five.  Amount must total 100%.)

Manage a team of associates tasked with the support of advisors’ goals, and to drive growth, advisor retention, and advisor satisfaction. Help drive key team, department, and firm level initiatives (Project Management, Committee Leadership, etc.) Represent Business Consulting in several venues and forums throughout the year (EAVs, HOVs,  Focus, Accelerate, and other advisor-facing meetings) Participate in various committees providing thoughtful insight and advocacy for our clients Lead by example in the face of changing priorities Create and implement a successful framework for managing potential change. Present complex topics for discussion across multiple functions and adeptly speak to multiple sides of issues in order to drive informed decision making Engage in high level strategic discussions with both advisors and the executive team Partner with internal and external customers on needs assessment

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field

Minimum Experience Required: (including years of experience)

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Financial Services, preferably in a sales or progressive client service/relationship management role

Licenses/Certifications Required/Preferred: S7 and S63

Software/Systems Skills Required/Preferred: Type                       Level of Experience
