The Advisor & Institution Technology Engagement team, within LPL’s Business Development & Strategy Team, is focused on working with our Advisors and Institutions to provide guidance, support and solutions for technology tools that are leveraged by both advisors, program managers, members, their staff and their investors. Candidates for this role must have a passion for, and interest in, the technology used by firms to support their practices (i.e. CRM, Financial Planning, Performance Reporting, Analytics, etc.). The role will work with many stakeholders, and requires a candidate to be able to think strategically and tactically to anticipate needs of clients. Collaboration with external partners, as well as internal business, operations and technology groups, will be critical to ensure the needs of our advisors are met.
Point person as it pertains to the end-to-end technology lifecycle for a subset of our Institution Services channel. This lifecycle includes:
Work directly with our Business Development, Institution Strategy and Business Consulting teams to support and lead the conversation regarding technology options and help to guide and strategize the tech stack selection and construction process
External and Internal Coordination – Leverage 3rd parties and knowledge to build workflows and foster education, and build tight relationships to maximize the support of the designated Institutions; work internally to ensure optimal success of the relationship
Ongoing Support, Implementation and Optimization – Escalate client needs to inform LPL tech roadmap. Offer strategic coaching and situational guidance on how to maximize integration and optimization of their tech stack investment – both with LPL technology and 3rd parties
Produce adoption analysis and campaigns for firms. Be prepared to propose one-to-many marketing to this channel, as well as to conduct webinars
Deeply understand the practices you work with in order to provide proactive recommendations, best practices, engagement plans and roadmap awareness. Provide guidance on LPL policies and support management reporting
Assist in building a program designed to support continued learning, community “study groups,” coaching and adoption of technology that other Institution Services partners can benefit from

5 plus years client facing experience

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present materials to C-Suite of Institutions, as well as the highest levels of LPL. Possess the ability to frame complex issues
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate issues, and provide solutions, or in many cases, responses without defined solutions
Project management / multi-tasking skills across different projects
Background in advisor, bank, credit union and/or client-facing experience
Financial services, and/or FinTech/SaaS Technologies experience a plus
Understanding of API/Data Sharing between firms, at an intermediate level, required
Strong Experience with Salesforce, Redtail, Wealthbox, MoneyGuide, Morningstar, eMoney, RightCapital, Riskalyze, Albridge, Black Diamond and/or Orion preferred
Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
