Job overview:

The Assistant Vice President/Vice President of Internal Audit Data Analytics is responsible for the development and execution of data analytics audits, overseeing the data analytics maturation of Internal Audit, and strategically partnering with firm leaders to drive change with data analytics.

What will you do?

  • Play a leading role in the development of new Data Analytics capabilities in Internal Audit, including continuous monitoring

  • Manage team of Data Auditors/Analysts, coordinate/review data analytics work performed by team, and direct workload and schedule of data analytics team

  • Identify and lead the development of data analytics training materials for the Internal Audit department

  • Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in analytics capabilities, data, and business processes.

  • Utilize various data analytics tools and techniques to extract, normalize, enhance, and report data to meet specific audit and project objectives

  • Lead reporting for Internal Audit department

Please note: Additional responsibilities or duties may be assigned to you as needed or determined.

What does your success look like in the first 90 days?

  • Meet with the Head of IT Audit to discuss ongoing data analytics audits and projects

  • Develop a strategy/roadmap to progress continuous monitoring initiative

What are we looking for?

What skills, experiences, and education are required?

  • 6+ years of professional experience

  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to or leading a data analytics function, including experience in creating business value through the performance of data analytics

  • Ability to work independently and proactively to solve problems with innovative solutions

  • Experience with relevant analytics tools, including but not limited to, Alteryx, ACL Analytics, Tableau, and PowerBI. Additional behavior tool experience (i.e., SQL, Python, R, VBA)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Applied Sciences (Math, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
