Job Overview:

LPL Financial is currently in search of a Talent Development Consultant to support our Technology Business Unit, reporting into our Human Capital team. This is a key role to help support the growth of the Technology BU, and deliver on our focus on People First as one of our three main strategic pillars.  This role will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of cool projects and talent development processes in support of our Talent Strategy.


  • Act as a learning and talent development specialist focused on the delivery of effective and leading-edge learning and development deployment strategies to achieve business goals

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to execute the talent review and succession planning processes within the Technology team, ensuring the next generation of leaders are identified, assessed and developed

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to design and execute employee development programs for the Technology team based on a team gaps analysis

  • Facilitate leadership and professional development training to leaders and managers to enable their development so they, in turn, can develop their employees

  • Design and facilitate large scale people manager meetings and Technology Town Halls

  • Be a critical lens for the organization and review plans for the needs of diverse candidates to ensure an inclusive development pipeline

  • Manage a number of talent development programs, with a lens on data and improvement

  • Collaborate with L&D team on key strategic initiatives


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 5-7 years of corporate experience in a training related role with instructional design and delivery experience

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required

  • Experience consulting, facilitating, managing and collaborating up, down, and across the organization


  • PHR/ SPHR preferred, not required

  • Prior Financial Services and/or Technology industry experience a plus

  • DISC certified a plus
