Job Overview:

As a Deal Specialist on LPL's M&A Solutions team, you will guide our advisors through M&A transactions through seamless, end-to-end support.  


  • Lead M&A transaction engagements with the ability to implement clear and concise strategies for execution
  • Generalist skillset with the ability to turn a complex M&A process into a seamless transaction for clients at all levels of expertise 
  • Understand M&A deal structures to guide negotiations
  • Enhance and evolve M&A execution services and maintain/create efficient processes
  • Leverage technology to automate manual work and simplify processes where feasible to create a highly scalable, flexible, and efficient infrastructure
  • Utilize internal resources to ensure milestones are completed, and advisor expectations are met
  • Interfacing with business unit counterparts to address specific needs of advisors
  • Creating reporting and analysis to drive Advisor business decisions
  • Handle escalations by both internal business partners and our Advisors
  • Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, and additional responsibilities as required
  • Be able to present new ideas as we expand and iterate on our product offerings

What are we looking for?

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or Economics (or a related discipline) is preferred
  • 5+ years corporate finance,  investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business valuations and financial concepts preferred
  • Proactive problem solver, expected to present problems and recommendations simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills; can consume data and manipulate to draw conclusions 
  • Effective communication, presentation, and writing skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus

  • Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
