AVP, Project Mgmt

Goal of the AVP, Project Manager is to manage key projects, operational processes and recurring activities associated with the institutions services business consulting team.  Institution Services Business Consulting is responsible for managing the 800+ financial institutions client relationships of LPL Financial.  This role is to help the management team and the 25+ person team of consultants manage various elements of the business related to key projects, operational processes and routine and recurring client related projects. 

A breakdown of the primary components and example(s) follow:

·Team and client level project management

oAssist in the planning, coordination and follow up activities related to bi-annual IS Business Consulting offsite team meetings

·IS Business Representation on Firm Level Projects

oRepresent IS Business Consulting in the annual advisor restricted stock award project, including communication and coordination of project objectives, key milestones and deliverables.

·Management of recurring processes to support clients and team members

oCoordinate and facilitate team activities supporting annual nomination of clients for industry awards (e.g. Bank Investment Consultant Advisor and Program Manager Awards).  This includes documentation and communication of criteria, submission process and related resources/support LPL provides.

oPartner with various internal organizations to ensure the correctness and completeness of client impact lists.


·3 - 10 years of experience in the financial services/brokerage industry

·A high level of integrity, earning the respect and trust of his/her peer groups and executives

·Strong industry acumen, self-starter and the ability to work with minimal supervision

·Strong communication skills a must – verbal and written

·Personal confidence with outstanding leadership capabilities

·Ability to collaborate and work across a large and highly matrixed organization and collaborate/influence as appropriate

·Ability to work in a team environment, motivate team members and influence behavior of others

·Exceptional interpersonal and partnership skills and the ability to positively influence outcomes, particularly in difficult matters

·Highly motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities

·Must be able to work independently, and work effectively with all levels of management

·Efficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project

·BA or BS


·Experience  in advisor facing technologies or processes

·Demonstrated project management experience

·Creative sales and consultative skills withmarketing experience

·Process development and improvement skills

·Comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with all of LPL’s products, processes, services and tools

·Industry knowledge
