The Business Line Strategy team in LPL’s Business Development group leads the business strategies that financial institutions use as a vehicle to partner with LPL to support their wealth management businesses. A key growth enabler is the Strategic Partnership Alignment between each Institution and LPL. In service to our institution clients, a strategic playbook will be created to support those Strategic Partnership Alignments. The AVP, Strategy Implementation role will be responsible for leading the work to create, curate, implement, and maintain an Institution Strategy Playbook. Through partnership with Business Development, Relationship Management, Wealth Consulting, Product, Technology, Compliance, Legal and Risk organizations, this role will capture, organize, and define the strategic plays for Institution clients. The playbook implementation will inform strategic priorities for LPL institution resource investments and enhance our Institution client experience through value added advice and consultation. We are looking for a wealth management subject matter expert who has experience partnering and consulting with bank and credit union executives, as well as brokerage and program leaders. This role will act as a key leader between Business Line Strategy and partner organizations. Ideal candidates will be effective at project management and have a deep understanding of Institution client opportunities in wealth management.
Manage large and impactful bodies of work across a diverse set of stakeholders.
Document existing Institution Strategy plays and processes.
Organize work streams and partner groups to create plays and decision trees for strategic priorities.
Lead and inform the creation of new content that aids our client facing relationship management teams support growth consultation recommendations.
Create an implementation strategy for the Strategic Playbook, in coordination with the Strategic Partnership Alignment for Institutions.
Enable a sustainability plan for the content to ensure material is evergreen and ready for use across partner groups.
Refine and improve strategic plays through test and learn, observation, and client feedback.
2+ years’ project or product management experience
1+ years of experience in the wealth management industry
Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
Skilled at navigating corporate organizations but also able to operate within a more nimble start-up environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaboration and project management skills, including a demonstrated track-record in managing time-sensitive, complex projects with cross-functional teams
Proven ability to think strategically and holistically, as well as be able to adapt on the fly for urgent issue resolution
Skilled collaborator able to channel and coordinate efforts to drives business outcomes
Operates with minimal direction and leans into autonomous judgment and action
Familiarity with agile initiatives and work principle
