Communications Administrator

Job Overview:

LPL is seeking a Communications Administrator to join its Investment Research department. As a key cog in the Research department’s marketing effort, you will have responsibility for assisting in the publishing and posting of investment content, working closely with other groups at LPL to ensure the department’s market-facing messaging is published in a timely and consistent manner. You must have the ability to manage content publication workflow while ensuring that publication efforts meet editorial standards.   

You will serve as a member of a fast-paced and dynamic Investment Research department. You will report directly to the department’s Chief Market Strategist and work closely with multiple key members of leadership, research, and marketing teams to successfully deliver branded content to a wide advisor and public audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Submit work to compliance for review and edit suggestions
  • Post documents to various places for our Advisors to leverage
  • Edit documents for accuracy, consistency, and brand voice
  • Edit and proofread internal and external research communications, including but not limited to: Research digital magazine, daily market updates, blogs, scripts, website content, product materials, presentations, and client-facing letters.
  • Consistently apply style guides and brand voice guidelines
  • Utilize superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Manage content through various approval and publishing processes
  • Work in a high-volume workplace and interact with a wide variety of partners and groups
  • Heavy focus on posting content (75%), but ability to write and organize projects will be important as well

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field of study or equivalent additional experience and a HS Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an editor, preferably in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
  • Experience with financial services writing/editing is a plus
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Expertise with use of MS Office (Word and PowerPoint)
