Marketing Consultant

The Content Marketing Consultant is responsible for helping drive the adoption and growth of LPL’s investment products and platforms among nearly 16,000 financial advisors nationwide.”   

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude with the ability to “roll up your sleeves” to execute marketing campaigns, and provide day-to-day maintenance and content management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and can adjust to a fast-paced, consistently changing environment. He/she is able to track day-to-day deliverables, while focusing on the overall goals and priorities of the team.

As a member of the Product Marketing team, the candidate will receive exposure to all facets of marketing (i.e. email marketing, digital marketing, direct mail, etc.). The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt to the needs of the team and individual campaign efforts. He/she should have strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate across functional groups within the organization. This individual should also have a willingness to learn the subject matter and build business acumen over time. Experience in financial services preferred but not required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the day-to-day marketing and communications of investment products
    • Create, write and edit compelling web and collateral content
    • Optimize and publish web content with consideration of web metrics and digital best practices
    • Ensure pages reflect the most up-to-date material
    • Update brochures and submit material prior to expiration per legal and compliance requirements
  • Execute and manage campaigns, including:
    • Entering and monitoring campaign activities through our project management tool, and managing team members’ and partners’ tasks to ensure successful campaigns and deadlines are met
    • Provide list management to ensure we provide a targeted and tailored approach to campaigns (proficiency in Excel highly preferred)
    • Provide quality by testing and ensuring accurate information
  • Work with partners across all lines of business to support high-priority projects and communicate to key stakeholders and audiences.
    • Provide updates to key business partners on campaigns
    • Facilitate meetings and take notes to track campaigns and marketing efforts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, creative writing or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing or project management role
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with proficient writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communications and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with Adobe products (i.e. Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Pro) a plus
  • Experience with content management systems and marketing automation systems a plus
  • Experience with project management tools (i.e. Workfront) highly preferred
