Job Overview:
The Principal Data Architect is responsible for the design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions in AWS supporting our extraordinary company growth projections and digital experiences vision.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions in AWS ( Data access, Data Storage, Data Retrieval, Distributed Computing, AWS Service Selection, Large-Scale System Design, System Security, Networking, and Cloud-Specific Patterns and Technologies)
Architect and implement Event streaming, & micro services like function as a service, containers, and managed databased in AWS native functionality
Experience in developing Conceptual, Logic & Physical AWS native data platform solutions.
Prepare documentation and designs for AWS data solutions and applications
Design and implement distributed analytics platforms for analyst teams
Design and implement high velocity streaming solutions using Amazon Kinesis, SQS, SNS and SMS
Migrate data from traditional relational database systems to AWS relational databases such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, and Redshift
Implement ad-hoc analysis solutions using Athena
Propose architectures that consider cost/spend in AWS and develop recommendations or plans to right-size AWS data infrastructure
Hands-on experience with on-premises to cloud migration would be additional plus.
Contribute to establishing broader enterprise architecture principles, standards, and measurements that drive modernization as well as consistency and efficiency into the technology ecosystem.
Contribute to developing the broader governance and control structure that ensures alignment to target-state and architecture principles.
Ensures all technical leaders have architected resilient and extensive systems. May oversee technology assessments, technology strategy reviews, and provide internal consulting to ensure all areas are practicing sound architecture hygiene.
Translates complex ideas, technology, and programs into language senior management can relate to and performs as a key influencer on technical decisions that affect the business on a long-term basis.
Leads the Development of metrics and scorecards to influence the technology teams on industry best practices for cloud development.

Requirements:
8+ years of hands-on design and implementation experience in data architecture landscape
Previous experience migrating legacy platform to big data platform
5+ years of experience in designing and building SQL, no-SQL, big data, GraphDB, APIs, Kafka, and streaming solutions
3+ years of experience in the following technical disciplines: application development, middleware, database management or operations, security, integration
Core Competencies:
Proficiency in defining current and future state Data Architecture models
In depth knowledge of cloud data platforms AWS (Primary) and Azure (Secondary)
Experience and expertise designing, implementing or maintaining the following: Master Data Management solutions, Data Marketplace solutions, Data Science Platforms and Productizing Data, Enterprise Analytics solutions
Experience/exposure with one or more of the following Neural Networks, machine learning, deep learning and NLP tools and frameworks
Experience in migrating monolith on-prem applications to cloud using Refactoring, Rearchitecting and Re-platforming approach including 12 factor
Experience in DevOps tools, automated deployments and containerization
Excellent communication skills that translate business problems in technical solutions
Consult with customers to solve business problems by adapting current technology and/or capitalizing on emerging technology for competitive advantage to meet the strategic objectives
Conduct demonstrations and presentations to executive management of prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
Understanding of agile methods (SAFe) and processes, and capability of supporting agile product teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
Preferences:
Previous proven Data Architecture experience to include contributing to and/or progressing the following: Enterprise Data Modeling, Information Architecture Modeling, Information Analysis Modeling, Physical Data Modeling, Enterprise Data Governance Functions and Frameworks - Standards, Policies, Processes, QA, Enterprise Data Technology Landscape, Enterprise Information Analysis Maps, Reference, Master, Meta Data and Document Practices, Data Virtualization, Data Streaming, Operational Data Store, Data Warehouse, Data Management Practice including Stewardship and Life Cycle Management

Pay Range:
