Research Desk Supervisor
LPL Financial ASK Research provides market, investment, and portfolio advice to our independent advisors. Our mission is to be a trusted partner to our advisors who provide investors with choices to help meet their financial goals. In this endeavor, our sole motivation is to provide stellar due diligence and investment management advice — as a partner for those advisors who manage client assets themselves or as a portfolio manager for those advisors who want to leverage our experience.
As the manager of the ASK Research Desk, you will build and lead a team of professionals who support our clients via phone and email. The ASK Research Desk is a knowledge base for questions regarding everything our Research team manages. This includes product insights, model construction, market commentary, current economic highlights, platform support, and marketing pieces. The manager of the ASK Research Desk has responsibility for training, inspiring, and engaging team members in a manner consistent with LPL Financial’s values.
Lead team with integrity, creating an environment where team members feel included, valued, and supported in completing work that energizes them
Act as a “Player Coach” and lead by example, with the ability to field advisor calls and emails directly
Embody the firm’s mission and values by fostering a culture of engagement, diversity and inclusion
Utilize principles of continuous improvement and advisor feedback to streamline and enhance team operating procedures
Partner with Research team liaison to assimilate information throughout the team so that the ASK Research Desk remains connected to the evolving Research operating model
Results focused, with a strong understanding of how to educate and reinforce
What are we looking for?

3-5 years’ previous experience within the financial services industry
1+ year of experience managing a team
Positive, customer-focused attitude and demeanor with desire to provide outstanding service
Superior communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to cogently explain and discuss financial information to different audiences
Desire to contribute to the success and growth of an organization
Interest in continued development of analytics to measure effectiveness of team’s efforts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Financial industry or service-related certifications
FINRA Series 7 and 66 strongly preferred (if not already held, passing exams to obtain licenses will be required soon after hiring)
