Job Overview:

The Senior Accounting Analyst in Performance and Data Reconciliation supports the business and projects by coordinating transition timelines with clients and internal partners, developing business and technical requirements, and collaborating in cross-functional teams. This role is a team expert in all tasks in the project workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform discovery analysis on the impact of fixed income security model trading functionality and the impacts that will have on Portfolio Accounting and Pricing workflows
  • Communicating complex issues in writing and verbally to management and internal/external vendors and customers.
  • Providing oversight of existing processes and mitigating risk against future firm impact.
  • Communicating with vendors regarding missing accounts, missing Rep IDs, historical data requests, incorrect data, production updates, pricing issues, and feed confirmations.
  • Identifying gaps in workflows to communicate to team and leadership to ensure correct information is provided to advisors and enhance processes.
  • Supporting the manager or AVP on multiple and possibly overlapping projects.
  • Coordinating data migration to various reporting systems
  • Conducting root cause analysis of production and test environment issues.
  • Identifying reporting that will used to make strategic management decisions.

Requirements:

  • Strong multi-sleeve level reconciliation skills
  • Understanding of complex financial vehicles, with a focus on fixed income
  • Knowledge of Agile project management
  • JIRA Issue & project tracking
  • Familiarity with user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Basic understanding of time- and money- weighted performance calculation
  • Understanding of root cause analysis
  • Ability to solve problems via Lean Six Sigma practice

  • Experience in creating and facilitating presentations
  • Enhanced technical skills
  • Experience in database management  
  • SQL Knowledge  
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (WORD, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)


Preferences:

  • FINRA SIE/Series 99 preferred
  • Basic Bloomberg knowledge preferred
