Job Overview:
LPL is seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst to join its Investment Research department. This individual will play a key role in all phases of our model portfolio management, including asset allocation decisions, implementation decisions, risk assessment, client communication, portfolio monitoring, and trade execution. The strategist will work with LPL advisors and partners within the firm to help highlight model goals, positioning, and performance to help promote model adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to model portfolio decision making and management as a member of one or more thematically oriented model portfolio committees.
- Monitor, interpret, and enhance analytic data on model risk, positioning, factor exposures, and expected forward-looking behavior for a diverse range of multi-asset portfolios.
- Support the process of monitoring, maintaining, and trading models and help find efficiencies to help streamline execution.
- Work closely with multiple key members of firm leadership, research, and marketing teams to help grow a model portfolio offering for the firm that is respected across the industry and supports investment decision making for LPL clients.

Requirements:
- 3-7 years of experience in managing multi-asset portfolios
- Broad knowledge of capital markets (equity, fixed income, alternatives)
Core Competencies:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills including an ability to cogently explain portfolio management principles, positioning, and trade decisions to model users
- Robust analytic skills and the ability to critically evaluate data
Preferences:
- Proficient in the use of analytical software and data sets such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, and FactSet. Barra Risk Factor Analysis a plus
- Series 7 and Series 66 preferred or willingness to obtain.
- An advanced degree in economics or finance, and the CFA designation is desirable.
