ServiceNow Developer Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Sr. ServiceNow Professional with ServiceNow platform administration and development experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives within the Service Delivery Management department. The ServiceNow Administrator/Developer is a senior technical resource that possesses advanced administration capability and is able to design, configure, and support ServiceNow applications and integrations. The Administrator/Developer works across applications, delivers new functionality supports existing functionality and implements innovative solutions to support technology and business needs. The ServiceNow Platform Administrator/Developer has a software development background that will be enhanced by ServiceNow System administration, Advanced System Administration, Scripting and Application Creation. Qualified candidates will have a strong working knowledge of developing, implementing, enhancing and managing the ServiceNow Platform for a moderate IT Services group.

Essential Functions

  • Support and maintains existing ServiceNow functionality and capabilities
  • Resolve ServiceNow application & integration related incidents, problems and requests
  • In collaboration w/other ServiceNow resources facilitate patching, hot fixes and platform upgrades
  • In collaboration w/other ServiceNow resources perform platform testing as it relates to new/existing platform capabilities and functionality 
  • Support ServiceNow project initiatives
  • Attend and actively participate in ServiceNow weekly team meetings
  • Work with the business to understand ServiceNow requirements
  • Train users on ServiceNow functionality and capabilities

Job Requirements:

  • Experience w/Change, Release, Incident, Problem and Knowledge Management Configuration & Support
  • Experience enhancing the Service Portal and configuring service catalog requests
  • Experience w/workflow development and support
  • Experience with HTML, AJAX, Jelly, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap and AngularJS frameworks
  • Experience with API integrations
  • Experience in ServiceNow implementations
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, with participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production
  • Experience working in challenging and ambiguous environments
