Sr Application Developer

At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their client.  Joining as an Sr.Application Developer for Risk and Regulatory, which is within the Technology business unit, you will be responsible for planning, design, build and maintain the sustainable, scalable Risk and Regulatory application that support delivery of the highest standards of software products, processes.  This role will also include responsibility for leading vendor products that are used in Risk and Regulatory applications.


  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with other Development teams, Enterprise Architecture and Support teams to design, develop, test and maintain the various platforms and their integration with other systems.
  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform road map.
  • Work collaboratively with QA, DevOPS teams to adopt CI/CD tool chain and develop automation
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems.
  • Communicate with Vendor , technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support.

Production support for compliance applications.

Technical Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in Information Technology with at least 4+ years in Database SQL development, .Net , C# and performance tuning is required. 
4+ years of experience in ETL technologies like Informatica, SSIS, Data Stage etc. is required 
Significant experience with back end and ETL technology 
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts into comprehensible business terminology. 
Strong organizational and planning skills and process orientation. 
Commitment to excellence in service, performance, and execution. 
Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment while effectively managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously as well as produce high-quality end to end solutions for complex data problems. 
BS or MS in a technical discipline 
Financial Compliance platforms support experience is preferred 
Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Skills and Knowledge:

Experience working  with Microsoft SQL server is required 
Experience working  with REST technology WebAPI or Mulesoft is required. 
Experience working  with UI technology Angular or ASP.NET MVC , C# and.Net framework tools.

  • Experience working  with service oriented architecture and web services is preferred 
  • Experience working  with remote teams, vendors and contingent/SOW staff 
  • Experience working with any compliance product like Prosurv , Actimize or Mantas is nice to have.
