Sr. Consultant, Digital Creative Lead

LPL’s Digital Experience Team is currently seeking a Creative Lead, with a history of managing design projects, who can guide and deliver a strong visual aesthetic across both 300dpi and 72dpi experiences. This person should be capable of managing projects from concept to launch, building a brand expression in alignment with our digital roadmap, and delivering experiences that solve and balance user and business challenges.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Digital Creative Studio, this role is responsible for supporting the Service Transformation program of work, an effort to improve the client experience at LPL and make information more engaging, easy to consume and to access as they navigate daily tasks.

The ideal candidate is someone who has ability to sometimes lead and sometimes work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of experience architects, visual designers, and content strategists in an effort to deliver a world class service experience. The position is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina (Charlotte Metro area).


Essential Functions:  

  • Apply and evolve brand standards and graphic design best practices to service-related assets like infographics, tutorials, and other technical documents
  • Advocate  across the organization for a consistent production lifecycle, and influence partners to embrace a digital brand expression
  • Skin UI assets for a variety of digital channels to bring wireframes and concepts to life as high-fidelity mockups
  • Use design principles to create clear, visual representations of sometimes-complex information
  • Provide rationale for design choices; assure design meets business objectives as stated in creative brief
  • Document stylistic rules appropriate for the brand and the audience of the medium with oversight including color palette, typography and logo-wordmark guidelines
  • Stay on top of design trends and share trends and ideas with the team
  • Assist in building and maintaining a repository of corporate digital assets, including organizing, tagging, and archiving image assets, photos, etc.
  • Employ empathy to imagine and create intuitive, accessible and easy-to-understand digital experiences that delight our core audiences
  • Handle multiple projects concurrently and prioritize requirements into short and long-term plans
  • Adapt to and succeed in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment, with the ability to be a thought leader

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Interactive Design or a related digital media discipline strongly preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and technical training
  • Combined 5+ years of hands on graphic design, illustration, web and interactive design experience
  • Creative, passionate, and collaborative
  • Well versed in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and HTML
  • Experience in Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision a plus
  • Strong layout and visual design skills
  • Experience with print and event materials, and other communications is a plus
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must be very flexible and adaptable, and comfortable with a fast-paced setting
  • Strong knowledge of user experience across devices, platforms and channels

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education Required:  Bachelors
    Minimum Experience Required: 5 years
  • Software/Systems Skills Required/Preferred: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and HTML, Word, PowerPoint , Excel, Access, Workfront or other project management software, Sharepoint, Adobe Experience Manager or other CMS
