Job Overview:

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Developer within the Regulatory & Risk team, which is part of LPL’s Technology organization. This position is responsible for leading a team to deliver data integration projects across a wide variety of systems in support of business functions and processes to improve advisor experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of data services and batch processing jobs specifically for compliance applications.  

  • Adhere to industry standards and methodologies for software development

  • Follow and provide feedback to technical guidance on standards, design patterns, architectural patterns and frameworks for services and integrations

  • Collaborate with analysts, modelers and other developers in building, updating large application batch processes

  • Maintain technical documentation that facilitate understanding, maintaining, reusing and refactoring of code

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in design and development of ETL integrations (batch or stream processing) using languages such as Unix shell scripting and Oracle database

  • 2+ years of experience in Informatica Power Center tools.

  • 3-4+ years of experience with SQL, creating SQL scripts with relational database (ex. Oracle, SQL Server)

Core Competencies:

  • Experience with creating batch jobs using Job scheduling tool

  • Experience with integration with message frameworks (ex: TIBCO)

  • Experience with development against relational database (ex: Oracle, SQL Server )

  • Experience with DevOps toolchain that enables CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Octopus)

  • Strong problem-solving skills (e.g., root cause analysis) to debug or improve existing systems

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

  • Experience with design and development of services with high performance and scalability

  • Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

  • Experience in supporting and monitoring application batch processes

Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Financial services industry experience
