Job Overview:

This role is part of our Electronic Communications product group, dedicated to providing our advisors with texting and calendaring solutions that help advisors and their clients stay connected. In this role you’ll work alongside our Product Managers to help deliver quality software solutions to our advisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and scope out features and capabilities prioritized by business and product leadership

  • Decompose epics into features and user stories, complete with acceptance criteria and a clear definition of “done”

  • Ensure that the agile teams have a healthy backlog of refined and prioritized features

  • Coordinate with texting and calendaring vendors as well as LPL Technology to develop features and capabilities

  • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure new features and capabilities work as expected

  • Partner with Compliance to ensure solutions fulfill regulatory requirements

  • Partner with Marketing to improve product adoption

  • Provide product demonstrations for advisors, institutions and LPL employees who want to learn about the solutions

  • Gather feedback from users to ensure products continue to evolve to meet users’ needs

  • Act as an escalation point for advisors, institutions and LPL employees when they are having trouble getting issues resolved thru the vendor or LPL support teams

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are curious learners and develop expertise by using the solutions they support vs reading about them. We need leaders who listen carefully to problems/opportunities and develop plans of action that meet those needs. We want leaders who foster a sense of collaboration that encourages the team to execute those plans with excellence.

Requirements:

  • 2 years professional experience as a business analyst, product owner or equivalent role as part of an agile team developing software for end-users

  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and its objectives

  • Empathy for the user experience and a passion for delivering outcomes that continuously improve that experience

  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral – with the ability to present materials to both a technical and non-technical audience

  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous efforts spanning multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Strong bias for action

Preferences:

  • Background in a client-facing role and/or the financial services industry

  • Agile and/or SAFe trainings and certifications

  • Experience working directly with vendors as solution providers
