As a writer for LPL Financial’s Marketing team, you will produce compelling content to support the LPL Research team. This team of economists, market strategists, and analysts is responsible for providing market and economic insights to help advisors and their clients, as well as analyzing the markets to make the strategic and tactical decisions in managing LPL models. You’ll develop a deep understanding of this team’s value and work closely with marketing strategists to create engaging content for various audiences, including financial institution leadership, financial professionals, and end investors.
What will you do?
Create compelling content across a variety of deliverables—including blogs, emails, webpage copy, case studies, and ad copy
Work side-by-side with internal subject-matter experts
Collaborate with graphic designers and video producers to bring content to life
Apply LPL’s brand standards and guidelines to external-facing content
Develop a deep understanding of LPL Research and the value this team can offer advisors
What are we looking for?
Experience in financial services is preferred, but not necessary, as long as you’re curious and eager to learn. Strong command of the written word is a must, as well as an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Other skills you’ll need include:
Ability to digest and distill complexity into simple language
Empathy to understand advisors’ realities
Interviewing, as you’ll potentially work directly with advisors and subject-matter experts
Collaboration and ability to navigate the needs of multiple, disparate stakeholders
Embracing and integrating feedback
Advocacy and diplomacy to defend your work when necessary
Attention to detail
