The Senior Vice President, Unified Wealth Business Strategy will be part of our innovative, entrepreneurial Enterprise Business Strategy team that is leading the evolution of the firm’s business lines to make them highly competitive in the industry and poised to help our clients grow.
This individual will be responsible for executing the business vision, including the evolution of features, functionality, economics, and change management programs for financial institutions who are seeking to unify their wealth management offerings across their retail advisors and trust teams. To drive this offering, this individual will be responsible for ensuring proper operational implementation and quality assurance of the client experience, and leading coordination with technology and product management and other internal stakeholders to establish and then enhance our offering.
The ideal candidate for this role has a combination of strong business acumen, a consulting manner, and solution-oriented mindset. This must be combined with software, product, service, and financial institution (retail and trust) knowledge to assist with the crafting of solutions. Ideally, this individual has spent time in a financial institution, working to unify the advice delivery across its retail and trust teams—having experience with the considerations, conversations, processes, and structures required to truly unify the advice delivery experiences for employees and clients.
This role will embrace strategic thinking, consultative solutioning, and change management skillsets to drive adoption of our technology solution by new and existing clients—and ensuring that the adoption truly leads to a unified experience across the institution and reaps all the benefits that it is designed to.
What are the key role responsibilities?
- Consult with financial institution leadership to position a unified solution, detail what business outcomes it will drive, and assist them in the change management process within the organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert resource to all internal LPL teams and firm leaders to ensure an optimal client experience.
- Learn quickly from client, partner and prospect feedback, and apply an entrepreneurial mindset to iterate the offering nimbly.
- Evaluate, analyze, and build the business intelligence framework, metrics, and toolsets. This includes developing a formal cadence and structure for executive reporting on key business model updates, evolution, successes and known gaps that need attention, funding, and development.
- Leverage market and competitive data to identify opportunities, influence capabilities development, and drive client adoption.
What skills and experiences are advantageous?
- Minimum 8-10 years of extensive experience working in the financial institution retail and/or trust space.
- Familiarity with the unique business considerations for financial institution wealth management businesses (retail and trust), including regulatory compliance, technology, service experience, and inter-firm dynamics.
- Desire to be part of an entrepreneurial team and an ability to succeed within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, grounded in tangible results.
- Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data, evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders to manage, execute and implement strategies that you designed.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- The preferred candidate will be local to an LPL corporate office.
Pay Range:
$212,000-$318,000/year
The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
