Third Party Risk Management Intern

Summer Intern, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)

Selected intern will be a key member of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team and contribute to the successful completion of several key initiatives.  The TPRM program manages the risk posed by LPL’s engagement of third parties throughout the life cycle of the third party relationship by defining and implementing appropriate program governance, and providing oversight to ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, laws, and regulations.

Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to define and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to identify potential significant risk and ensure program compliance
  • Assist in the assessment and review of new technologies/tools aimed to automate and enhance existing processes
  • Work with multiple business units to implement new policies, standards, and procedures
  • Support TPRM team on other key initiatives

Other Duties/Skill Requirements

  • Currently enrolled rising junior or rising senior college student
  • Ability to gather data manually from systems and both electronic and paper documents.
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines
  • Independent & self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills

Schedule

Internship Standard Length - Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

Skills & Qualifications

  • College student who will have completed their sophomore or junior year in 2020.
  • We prefer students in the Financial, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Security programs, but will also consider other academic programs.
  • 3.0 Minimum Overall GPA Required
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
