Job Overview:

With LPL Financial you will have the opportunity to be part of a team obsessed with creating a transformational user experience for our advisors. We are seeking an inspired technology leader to drive delivery of LPL’s advisor-facing client relationship management and digital office solutions, including the design and implementation of advisor API solutions.

Joining as a Vice President on the Digital Advisory Enablement team, which is within the Technology business unit, you will be responsible for guiding a high velocity, multi-functional development team focused on delivering industry-leading digital solutions to our Advisors.


  • Design, develop, test, tune and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.

  • Own end-to-end design for the platform, solution delivery, execution and code quality. 

  • Lead sprint execution with developers.

  • Collaborate with other Development teams, Enterprise Architecture and Support teams to design, develop, test and maintain the various platforms and their integrations with other systems.

  • Work collaboratively and effectively with QA and  DevOps to ensure all SDLC processes are adhered to

  • Assess opportunities for platform/application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform roadmap.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems.

  • Utilize and build RESTful and SOA backend services.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and application integration partners.

  • Application resiliency, scalability and performance design.

What are we looking for?

  • Technical Lead with minimum 5+ years of extensive design and implementation of complex systems in a full range of standard development platforms (.Net, SQL, Angular, C#, Web APIs)

  • Full stack developer with 10+ years of experience in web/service oriented applications.

  • Understanding of SOA principles and design patterns.

  • Extensive .NET, C#, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular, JSON and REST services, SQL Server & Node development experience.

  • Hands on experience in SQL server procedures, views, indexes and performance tuning.

  • Highly competent in Jira, TeamCity and Octopus

  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, and/or other API Management tools

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent understanding of system integration.

  • Great track record of implementing distributed systems with legacy and modern technical tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

  • Innovative, self-driven and quick learner abreast of latest technologies


  • Experience in writing unit tests using any of these technologies: VS Tests, NUnit, JUnit, MUnit, Jasmin/Karma is a plus.

  • Should have a good sense for Code Architecture and Design Principles.

  • Awareness/knowledge with PaaS/IaaS cloud-native applications.

  • Knowledge of estimation, tools and principles
