VP, IT Security Governance

Job Overview:

We are hiring a Vice President, IT Security Governance to join our Technology Risk department. This position is responsible for overall Information Security governance, framework, vision, strategy direction and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements Technologies governance strategy, framework, vision and direction

  • Responsible to coordinate across the IT organization to catalog, create and maintain all forms of IT governance documentation. Also responsible to provide awareness of policy changes to impacted parties.

  • In coordination with Information Security and IT management to drive the organization towards alignment with Information Security policies and strategies.

  • Implement, mature or automated repeatable processes to monitor for security program compliance.

  • Build and maintain a matrix of processes, risk and controls to governance frameworks and regulations

  • Maintain control repository ensuring controls reflect current processes and assign to the current owners and performs

  • Partner with Enterprise Risk Management team on control self assessments

  • Works with leaders on security strategy focused on protecting the organization

  • Maintain knowledge of current technologies and evolving risks.

  • Oversee an IT Security Governance team

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years or more of experience in technology risk or audit related role

  • 5+ years of direct management experience

  • Prior experience with technology-related regulatory requirements and frameworks including FFIEC, COBIT, NIST, ITIL

Core Competencies:

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • Ability to interface with all levels of staff and management

Preferences:

  • CRISC, CISA, CISM or CISSP certification

  • Project management experience

  • Financial services industry
