Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join our Technology organization as a VP, Middleware Engineer Manager to lead a team that is tasked to ensure delivery of Middleware components as part of the Well Formed Teams. This is a people manager role with prior middleware administration background to lead team to successful infrastructure delivery.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Middleware engineers to install and configure Middleware components both on-prem and cloud environments
Ability to foster and drive organizational change, within a highly matrixed environment, through process optimization, change leadership and the development of a strong network of partners.
Maintain JIRA board with tasks associated for each and every requirement for Well Formed Team deliverables
Ensure all incoming work comes via Work Intake process and JIRA tasks are created accordingly for each WFT
Influence and support the culture, values and standards of the IT organization
Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Agile and ITIL processes and frameworks.
Direct, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution and professional growth
Partnership with key leaders within Engineering, Service Operations, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture and ITSM organizations
Collaborate with product teams to understand and translate requirements, ensuring specifications and architecture design meet broader technical strategic goals
Strong relationship management and strategic communication skills
Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

Requirements:
10+ years of Progressive experience in an IT function, with a dedicated focus on Middleware technologies (App Servers, Web Servers, Tibco, Mulesoft, DataPower, RPA, Kubernetes, DevOps, Caching etc.)
5+ years of progressive experience working within large, global financial institutions
Demonstrated success implementing global Middleware Platforms with a Fortune 100 Company
Experience leading Cloud migration to Azure and AWS
Bachelor’s/Advance degree and/or related field experience required
Core Competencies:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the regulatory, security, privacy and risk safeguards required of a global financial institution.
Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Agile and ITIL processes and frameworks.
Ability to foster and drive organizational change, within a highly matrixed environment, through process optimization, change leadership and the development of a strong network of partners
