VP of Unified Communication and Collaboration

DescriptionOverview:

LPL is seeking a VP of (UC) Unified Communications and Collaboration with experience building teams, technology, and people.  The right candidate is a leader who can manage our voice, video, conferencing solutions, Web conferencing, and campus network technology directly managing a team of 8-10 people. In this job you will be ensuring that the availability and resiliency of our unified communications platforms and campus network engineering and operations. You will also lead the network strategy, planning and providing leadership to the team.

Basic Duties:

Management:

·       Ensure the staff is motivated, developing through training & leadership, and soliciting feedback for improved networking operations and engineering

·       Managing the hiring and career pathing for network engineers

·       Perpetual improvement of the  architecture and technologies

·       Manage annual budgets and forecasting new expenses

·       Support acquisitions

·       Maintain professionalism and strong leadership

·       R&D + implementation plans for new technologies that streamline UC operations.

·       Work with the leadership team of the company to align workloads and strategic initiatives.

Technical:

·       Must be up to date on latest UC voice & video technologies

·       Ability to apply technical knowledge to business needs and efficiencies.

·       Experience with Cisco VoIP CUCM, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Webex, and data network switching

·       Experience managing voice, video and integration with data centers and large campus networks

·       Experience managing voice circuits, PBX systems,  call routing and dial plans

·       Experience designing AV conference rooms, large town hall rooms using Crestron and Cisco audio and video solutions

·       Experience with SIP based architecture, SIP endpoints, and managing Session Boarder Controllers

·       Ability to operationalize and monitor technology as deployed

Required Knowledge and experience:

·       8 - 10 years of IT Management Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a similar role.

·       Prior hands on experience with voice, video, and Cisco data networking solutions is highly desired.

·       Prior hands on experience with Web Conferencing, AV endpoint management, and desktop video conferencing.

·       Familiarity with the following technologies is desired: Cisco Conference platforms, Cisco Express Gateway, Catalyst and Nexus switches.

·       Weighted preference for experience in infrastructure as code and automation practices
