Job Overview:
LPL Financial is seeking a VP of Threat and Incident Response Manager to work within its growing Information Security department reporting to the SVP, Security Operations.
Leading the Threat and Incident Response team covers all aspects of internal/external threats and performing investigations across a range of technologies and environments, databases, applications, mobile and cloud. You will be working directly with technology partners and collaborating with the Security Operations team to help identify, investigate and remediate security threats using industry incident response methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Lead Information Security’s Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Cyber Investigations functions
Improve and enhance function while helping team members execute against overall strategy
Seek to identify and implement process and program improvements
Presents and reports on current issues to executive leadership
Ensure the successful completion and reporting of incident response activities to support remediation efforts, risk reduction and compliance.
Help develop and automate daily SOC activities to improve overall response efficiency
Serve as a technical resource for Information Security and other internal LPL organizations
Through incident response activities, identify gaps in existing security infrastructure/processes and recommend improvements
Manage the consolidation of large data sets from internal/external platforms and develop use cases for response activities
Develop and automate reporting and metrics
Maintain current knowledge on incident response, threat intelligence and forensic investigation techniques
Lead and assist in developing countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive actives
Researches, evaluates and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Security or Technology related field
Experience driving measurable improvement in monitoring and response capabilities at scale.
10+ years of proven experience with incident response, threat intelligence and cyber investigations
5+ years of experience in a management, leadership, or supervisory role
Experience and knowledge of Python
Core Competencies:
Expert level experience with incident response, threat intelligence and log correlation/analysis to determine root cause
Experience with industry leading technologies such as: end point detection and response platforms, SEIM, forensics toolsets, cloud technologies
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to develop effective partnerships with peer organizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, resourceful, responsive with strong follow through.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferences:
In addition, the following certifications and skills are desired CISSP, CISM, SANS (GIAC Certified Incident Handler, GIAC Network Forensics Analyst, GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware) or equivalent

Pay Range:
