AVP Field Sales Consultant

The AVP Field Sales person will be responsible for the sales and implementation of Retirement Partners’ strategic sales initiatives.  Our mission is to help our advisors to sell and support more 401(k) clients and use our services to support their practices. The position will support Retirement Partners as well as Business Development to increase adoption of the Small Market Solutions.  This position will be located in the Mid-West and will require  travel.  Essential Functions: Candidate Responsibilities. This person will have extensive knowledge of the retirement plan marketplace and how broker dealers and RIAs support retirement plan focused advisors.  They will be completely up to speed on all of the pending legislation and the impact of the legislation to advisors practices.  Additionally, this person must have a background in participant advice and transition counseling services offered through the retirement plan industry.  Experience working with advisor teams is also a critical selection criteria: Support LPL’s mission to implement the Small Market Solution and consult on the Retirement Plan business in general to  LPL Financial Retirement Advisors and Wealth Advisors.  This includes advisor meetings, presentations, speaking engagements, home office visits, and industry conferences. Ability to present all of LPL's capabilities as it relates to retirement plans and speak to all items.  This includes 3(21) and 3(38) fiduciary, automated rollover solutions, participant advice, RFP, plan support services, wellness,  IPS monitoring systems, expense benchmarking systems as well as the ability to position LPL as the leading broker dealer in the retirement plan space.  Ability to adapt and problem solve complex issues that arise and are unique in the retirement marketplace. Ability to work with numerous departments within LPL to help educate and find solutions that allow these advisors to join LPL and have their business models thrive.    

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE SALES EXPERIENCE IN THE RETIREMENT PLAN INDUSTRY

Minimum Experience Required: 2-5 years working with advisors working in the retirement plan industry

Experience with In Plan Advice services and Participant Transition Services (Rollover Counseling Solutions). Experience enrolling participants in 401(k) or other qualified plans
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
Licenses/Certifications Required/Preferred: Series 7 & 65, AIF, Software /Systems Skills

Required/Preferred: SALESFORCE.com, MS Office, MS Outlook, effective written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to present to large and small audiences
