Full Stack Developer

Job Overview:

At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their client as a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the sustainable, scalable capabilities that support delivery of the highest standards of software products, processes for our advisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance using ASP.Net, C#, Angular (or similar), MS SQL Server 2012+

  • Work with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate business problem statements into technical solutions, then help to plan for Sprints; sprint demos and quality product releases

  • Assist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendations

  • Coordinate solution design with leaders from Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Business to optimize speed to market and achieve prioritized business outcomes

  • Coach the team in developing appropriate technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelines, work to get them reviewed and approved before the Prod Releases

  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product support

  • Performing peer-peer code reviews and team code reviews and provide demos on latest technologies

  • Involvement in monthly major releases to support production release activities.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience

  • Full-stack developer with 4+ years of experience designing interactive web applications, developing web services (REST/SOAP) and integrating with vendor APIs

  • Experience web development experience with the following technologies: .Net framework, C#, HTML, JavaScript, MVC, Angular (or similar), PLSQL.

  • 3+ years of experience in CSS and Responsive Design

  • 2-3 + years in designing and developing micro services

  • Hands-on knowledge on working with SQL Server

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects

  • Experienced in using design patterns

  • Good understanding of system integration.

  • Great track record of implementing the distributed systems with legacy and modern technical tools.

  • Good knowledge in about pub/sub messaging technologies and patterns

  • Hands on with TeamCity/Octopus

  • Experience with Agile development process

Preferences:

  • Familiarity with API management using Mule ESB, SwaggerHub, etc.

  • Hands on experience building system with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Hands on experience using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Hands on experience using Kafka

  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and GIT

  • Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, data modeling design patterns/frameworks

  • Using search, index, and Distribute Caching tools such as Coherence and Apache Solr etc.
