Job Overview:

At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their clients.  Joining as Senior Data Management Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the sustainable, scalable products and capabilities that support our advisors to deliver world class services for their investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct highly scalable data management systems

  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices

  • Design and build high-performance streaming and messaging platforms to support the enterprise

  • Defines, designs, and builds dimensional databases to meet business needs

  • Assists in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets

  • Develops and implements strategies to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse designs to ensure that business needs are met

What are we looking for?

We want strong collaboratorswho can deliver a world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in designing and building data platforms

  • 7 years of experience working with relational databases, 5+ in SQL Server

  • 2+ years of experience with streaming/messaging platforms (Kafka/MQ)

  • 2 years of experience creating producer and consumer applications with Kafka

  • 5+ years of coding and scripting (Python, Scala, Spark) and design experience.

Core Competencies:

  • Team leader, excellent written, technical and verbal communication.

Preferences:

  • 3+ years Confluent Kafka / MQ

  • 2+ years MDM experience

  • 2-3+ years Cloud experience preferred in AWS

  • Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in database warehousing and other relevant systems

  • Experience creating, presenting, articulating  designs to Architects, and other team members

  • Experience working with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures

  • Experience working with source control tools like TFS, GIT etc.

  • Experience in Agile development methodology/Scrum is preferred using JIRA

  • Hands-on in SQL knowledge, Case management application
