Job Overview:

We are seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to join a dedicated team in driving dynamic change and supporting continued business growth at LPL.  The Sr. HR Generalist will support our managers and AVPs on the execution of our business and HR strategies.  This role provides consultation and coaching to leaders on performance management, talent management, engagement strategies, and compensation issues in partnership with other teams within the Human Capital organization and will act as the primary liaison for our newest office in Overland Park, KS.


  • Work on development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and practices in support of company and client group business plans in the areas of performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, compensation, talent management, change management, employee engagement, retention, professional development, culture and diversity.

  • Actively manage performance escalations and follow-up with managers and AVPs to ensure consistent oversight and appropriate documentation.

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams and assignments as necessary, often partnering with Compensation & Benefits; Talent Development; Learning Delivery; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Talent Acquisition; HR Ops, Systems & Analytics; Corporate Real Estate; Employee Engagement Initiatives and Corporate Communications.

  • Acts as the voice of the internal client to facilitate improvements to LPL's HR policies, benefits, initiatives, processes, etc.

  • Responsible for overall Human Capital leadership: focusing on employee engagement and providing support, coaching, mentorship, feedback, and development to business leaders.

  • Develop methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects, supporting ad hoc requests, and working closely with the HC Workforce Analytics team.

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced level degree preferred

  • 5+ year’s professional level experience in Human Resources

  • Proficient in HR Generalist skills such as Employee Relations, Talent Development, and Project Management

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws essential

  • Experience working within financial services industry or with a non-exempt population strongly preferred

  • PHR or SPHR preferred, not required

  • Microsoft Office Products proficient; advanced Excel proficiency strongly preferred to support ad hoc requests (includes running & creating functions, V-Lookup, pivot tables)

  • Requires being within a close proximity to our Overland Park, KS office and in a hybrid capacity; may require up to 5% travel
