The LPL Insurance Associates team within LPL’s Advisor Solutions division is looking for an experienced Case Consultant willing to provide exceptional customer service to LPL financial advisors in the submission and placement of life insurance business. The Case Consultant plays an important role in facilitating the processing of new life insurance, as well as placement of business for the financial advisor and the end-investor. The Case Consultant works side by side with Case Management and Insurance Sales to ensure business is handled and processed in a timely manner.
What will you do?
Daily processing and submission of life insurance new business applications
Provide a wide-range of support to LPLIA Case Managers
Research complex situations pertaining to life insurance and set client expectations for insurance process
Actively participate in training and meetings to remain current with operational policies and procedures, acting in capacity as trainer and/or trainee
Educate financial advisors on the use of technology to help navigate through the Resource Center for life insurance needs
Manage a case load of insurance business during application submission and post issue process and use experience and knowledge to maximize the timely issuance and placement of business
Daily communication with Advisors, Internal Sales team, and Insurance carriers required for continued business processing and assigned case follow up
Handles all not-in-good-order (NIGO) applications and documents and works direct with advisor’s office to obtain necessary items for processing of new business.
Operates full time on the insurance and contracts and licensing phone queue to assist customers with insurance and partners with LPL Financial departments for all other broker dealer calls
Will learn insurance contracting and licensing to assist on phone queue and help advisors navigate process for appointments and state licensing for life insurance
Order and follow up of medical underwriting requirements (medical exams and medical records)
Ensure all new life insurance business is compliant with current life insurance regulations
Partner with Complex Product Supervision Team for regulatory suitability review and approval on applicable life insurance business
Partner with RICOH Mail Services in handling all incoming and outgoing mail, documentation log for processed business, scanning and purging of documents
Partner effectively with external and internal partners for processing of new business applications
Adhere to HIPAA related guidelines to ensure proper handling PHI
Additional responsibilities or duties may be assigned to you as needed or determined

What skills, experiences, and education are required?
·2+ years in prior administrative support role; supporting multiple employees simultaneously is preferred
·Bachelor’s Degree preferred
·MS Outlook, Excel proficiency required
·Proficiency with Agency Integrator and Paperclip Preferred (new business tracking and imaging systems)
·Superior oral and written communication skills
·Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
·Strong prioritization and organizational abilities
·Strong follow through and sense of urgency
·Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and prioritize daily tasks
·Ability to work within a team and independently, take the initiative with a strong attention to detail
