The Summer Intern, Business Continuity will be assisting LPL’s Business Continuity and Recovery Team. This position will contribute to the overall quality of business resilience across LPL Financial by proactively collaborating with business continuity plan owners to maintain business continuity plans, develop and implement improvements to Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessments, and support execution of test exercises to validate recovery posture. The LPL’s Business Continuity and Recovery Team is a part of LPL’s Compliance, Legal and Risk (CLR) organization. The Advisory Compliance team works to support new and existing advisory business within the regulatory framework.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to management
- Create and modify Word documents, Excel, Power Point
- Write summaries on Business Continuity test and events
- Enter data into Business Continuity tool, Archer
- Collaborate with Business Continuity Plan owners to maintain Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Analysis
- Understand/grasp Business Continuity concepts
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Creativity, critical thinking, initiative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and deliverables, and coordinate functional initiatives
- Ability to prepare deliverables for management committees and business unit managers

Skills & Qualifications
Active enrollment in Bachelor’s degree program, approaching your senior year, as well as a minimum GPA of 2.5. Pursuing a degree in Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting is highly desired.
