Intern, Business Management

The Business Management Intern will work within the Business Process Outsourcing & Automation department, which is a part of LPL’s Compliance, Legal and Risk (CLR) organization. The Business Management Intern will support the goals of the BPOA and performance assurance program in order to help optimize CLR processes, procedures and gain efficiencies while ensuring services are delivered and aligned with company expectations.


  • Perform performance assurance reviews according to procedures.   
  • Collect and compile results of the reviews, then assist analysts in analyzing data to identify areas to optimize efficiency, improve processes, gaps/inconsistencies and/or training.  
  • Ability to collate information/data collected from reviews using excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with management and other team members 
  • Thorough and detail-oriented with strong investigative skills
  • Analytical with excellent research skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Duties/Skill Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with MS Project and Visio preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong, customer-oriented work ethic.
  • Excellent attention to detail, while self-managing priorities and commitments.
  • Flexible to work independently or with a team.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees.

Skills & Qualifications

Active enrollment in Bachelor’s degree program, approaching your senior year, as well as a minimum GPA of 2.5. Pursuing a degree in Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting is highly desired.
