Job Overview
The primary purpose of the Internal Advisory Consultant (IAC) role is to drive advisory sales and marketing efforts of LPL's Financial Advisors within a specific territory. This is achieved by providing accurate details regarding the various advisory platforms and by providing consultative conversations about product features and benefits such as pricing, competitive comparisons, LPL Research recommendations, leveraging tools and technology, etc., and facilitating exception requests/issue resolution. An IAC will provide a comprehensive holistic approach to wealth management as the point of contact with advisors in their respected territory. This position is open in our San Diego or Fort Mill offices.
Most importantly, the Internal Advisory Consultant will provide comprehensive case consultations in which individual clients/prospects are researched on behalf of the advisor. The IAC is viewed as a subject matter expert by LPL and our advisors. The successful IAC must also demonstrate a high level of professionalism and knowledge to be a trusted partner for financial advisors.

What Does Success Look Like After 90 Days?
You will have an understanding of LPL’s Wealth Management Organization and how we support our advisors. You will also have the knowledge to be able to articulate the features and benefits of LPL’s 6 Advisory Platforms.

What Skills, Experiences, and education are required?
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry
- A Drive for Professional Growth and Development
- Demonstrated ability to use independent judgement to make decisions and solve problems
- FINRA Series 7 and 65/66 required
Pay Range:
51,600-77,400/year
The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location. This position is also eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
