LPL Financial (the nation’s leading independent broker-dealer – supporting financial professionals with customized clearing solutions, advisory platforms, and technology) is hiring for a full-time exempt People Analytics Specialist . ThePeople Analytics Specialistwill be a key role working across Human Resources and with key business stakeholders to facilitate discussions on data needs, structure and guide analytical efforts, and to translate findings into presentations and recommendations to drive action. A week in the life of this role may include such activities as; facilitating a working session on defining leading indicators for diversity and inclusion, designing and conducting custom reports and analyses to identify attrition themes, and presenting to leaders on the business value of improving the cultural fit of new hires.
Core Responsibilities
Facilitate Data-Driven Thinking – partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand their workforce-related priorities, translate needs into data questions and analytical projects, and support post analysis action planning and recommendations
Lead Deep Dive Analyses – manipulate, integrate and transform data through a variety of tools to determine trends or address hypotheses; this may also include the creation of new data collection channels (e.g., external sources, research, surveys)
Develop Influential Visuals and Stories – effectively translate data collection methodologies and analytical results into stories and presentations that help organizational leaders to understand the opportunities, most impactful findings, and to otherwise inform decision making / action-planning
Foster Continuous Improvement – stay current on analytical trends and related research (e.g. ethical data collection approaches and/or innovative visuals) to help challenge and improve the ways the workforce analytics team operates and serves internal customers
Manage Special Projects and Ad Hoc Requests – provide support as needed to data requests and custom needs as well as take on project roles related to workforce analytics
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in Human Resources, particularly related to workforce analytics
Strong consulting, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills – to partner with others to define needs and develop analytical strategies
Workday HCM experience and capabilities (e.g., report writer)
Proficiency in Tableau
Experience in data mining, data cleansing, predictive modeling (preferred)
Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with confidential HR and proprietary data
Ability to conduct analyses (incorporating data from multiple sources) to identify patterns and trends
Ability to tell compelling stories with data (and explaining technical details to non-technical audiences)
Advanced to expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including a strong ability to visually convey information and insights through graphs, charts, and other means
Understanding of Human Capital concepts such as recruitment, onboarding, compensation, talent management, etc.
Customer service and problem solving mindset
Project management experience (Agile preferred)
Effective verbal and written communication skills with comfort presenting to management
BA/BS or equivalent in relevant business experience
