Case Manager, LPL Private Client

As a key resource for LPL Private Client, Trust Consulting, and the Financial Planning Group, the Case Manager, LPL Private Client is a dynamic role with responsibilities that include:

  • Case Management
  • Project Management
  • Event Coordination and Execution

Case Management

With respect to case management, the Case Manager is responsible for organizing incoming requests for support from advisors.  This process includes qualifying the case for support, estimating potential turn-around time for support services and deliverables, and coordinating support with the appropriate AVP Consultant.  If the opportunity does not meet the criteria for assistance, the Case Manager is responsible for the delegation of the request to the appropriate internal team or department.  As the initial point of contact between advisors and LPL Private Client, the Case Manager must demonstrate a high-degree of professionalism and the ability to set expectations.

Depending on factors such as the size and complexity of the opportunity, the Case Manager may have to marshal the assistance of various subject matter experts from throughout the firm.  This process would require the ability to understand and articulate advanced client needs and wealth management concepts.

The Case Manager is accountable for:

Organizing inbound requests for support – Qualifying inbound requests for assistance, selecting and scheduling the appropriate resources, and delegating unqualified cases to other internal teams and departments. Case tracking and recordkeeping – Creating and maintaining organized case records is a vital component of LPL Private Client.  This entails utilizing established protocol and technology to oversee prudent recordkeeping specific to cases. Managing case-specific tasks – As a conduit to resources throughout the firm, the Case Manager interacts with many departments throughout the firm for the purpose of coordinating workflow, organizing interdepartmental referrals, and maintaining the forward momentum of casework.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize and manage incoming requests for service
  • Understand complex situations and coordinate interdepartmental resources
  • Set customer expectations, and define the actions necessary to resolve the situation
  • Assume ownership of tasks and see them through to a timely resolution
  • Complete operational-heavy tasks including data input
  • Validate deposits and reconcile case records

Project Management

With respect to project management, the Case Manager acts in a supporting role to the Vice President and Assistant Vice Presidents by ensuring the effective execution of project plans related to capabilities, solutions, and resources required by financial advisors in service of high-net-worth clients.  The Case Manager will be required to manage many projects at a time, and urgent project requests may dictate that attention is diverted from current activities to support time-sensitive projects. The Case Manager may be focused on large and elaborate projects or smaller-sized projects simultaneously.

The Case Manager is accountable for:

Planning, executing, and closing projects – Defining the project parameters, building a comprehensive execution strategy, and managing workflow. Coordinating tasks and teams – In an effort to enhance capabilities, the Case Manager interacts with many departments throughout the firm for the purpose of coordinating workflow, organizing information and interdependencies, and maintaining the forward momentum of project plans. Managing Expectations – Having direct interaction with many teams and departments at the firm, the Case Manager must demonstrate a high-degree of professionalism and the ability to set expectations.

  • Set expectations and define the actions necessary to resolve complex situations
  • Communicate operational and financial industry policies and procedures
  • Assume ownership of tasks and see them through to a timely resolution
  • Complete operational-heavy tasks including data input

Event Coordination and Execution

With respect to event coordination and execution, the Case Manager acts in an ownership capacity over the team’s sales, marketing, and advisor education events.  Ownership entails ensuring the effective planning, logistics, and execution over any team related advisor or client events.

The Case Manager is accountable for:

Managing the Private Client Briefing process– The coordination of personnel and resources is instrumental to delivering a great experience.  The Case Manager is responsible for the orchestration of all elements related to the Private Client Briefing process.Marketing related initiatives – responsible for the coordination of various marketing initiatives including conference calls, WebEx presentations, and departmental collateral inventory. Specialized advisor events – As a component of the Private Client Curriculum series, several events are held throughout the year that require management of logistics and coordination of resources and individuals.  The Case Manager would own these events from planning through execution.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain team collateral and materials specific to events and marketing efforts
  • Coordinate and schedule personnel and real estate resources
  • Interface with LPL Conference Services for events tied to LPL conferences

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills with customer service experience
  • Creative problem-solving, effective decision making, ability to diffuse tense situations
  • Ability to navigate LPL and coordinate interactions with other departments
  • Ability to multi-task, good follow-up skills, upbeat and outgoing personality
  • Industry knowledge and experience
  • Professional demeanor
  • Quick learner and motivated to provide proactive support
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion
  • Bachelors degree
  • Series 7 and 65 or 66 required
