Job Overview:

The Sr. Analyst, Program Development will be part of an innovative entrepreneurial, high-performing team that is leading the evolution of LPL’s development of new and existing advisor business lines and our institutional partnerships within the Business Development organization. The Sr. Analyst will support the program development team responsible for driving the management and execution of our end-to-end Advisor and Institution Platforms. The role will work closely with our strategic Business Model Owners, Product & Platform Strategy teams, CARE (operations and services), Legal/Risk teams, Technology teams, and other cross-company departments as well as external partners. The individual will play a critical role in enabling our advisors and institutions to operate, engage, grow, and thrive in a manner that is superior to alternative platforms.


  • Ensure an exemplary advisor and institutional experience within our business models and partnership options by coordinating with internal partners through discussion, demonstration, and leading by example to meet and exceed advisor expectations

  • Assist in Product/Program Development activities via Agile Practices as a liaison between multiple LPL Business Units and technology to ensure all Business Requirements are accurately documented and tracked/reporting in a timely and efficient matter

  • Responsible for maintaining a centralized program development dashboard to help streamline the way in which we provide status and track deliverables across active engagements

  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal team members and business partners to strategize and develop innovative solutions for an industry-leading adviser and institution experience

  • Provide analysis and project management on a variety of strategic initiatives impacting Affiliation Models and assist in creating and implementing best practices for project implementation and reporting via PowerPoint, Excel, BOX, Smartsheet, Jira, Leankit, Confluence, etc

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when supporting multiple workflows and manual processes

  • Track the major pain points across business models and ensure progress is being made toward future solutions via tech development and/or policy changes

What are we looking for?

We want strong collaborators who have an entrepreneurial spirit with product owner and/or product manager background. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team-oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.


  • Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred (ideally related to Project Management, Business, or Finance)

  • 3+ years of experience related to analysis, project coordination/management, or business process development

  • Agile experience including system and product owner/manager role experience with JIRA, Confluence

  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize  / monitor workload to meet project deadlines, and collaborate across multiple business units

  • Experience working on a project team and meeting project timelines while managing competing priorities

  • An entrepreneurial drive and a do-what-it-takes attitude, grounded in tangible results to improve the advisor experience

  • Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data and ability to evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-profile, and rapidly evolving environment


  • Experience MS Office suite, with a particular proficiency with PowerPoint required. Advanced excel skills highly preferred

  • Must be able to learn quickly to develop a sound understanding of LPL Products and Processes

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail is required

  • Exceptional communication, including strong oral and writing skills as well as strong attention to detail

  • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor when corresponding with internal and external partners
