Sr. Analyst, RIA Solutions

LPL Financial is seeking a Sr. Analyst to support our Strategy group within the Business Development organization. This individual will gather and use data insights to help drive related business decisions within Business Development at all levels. The right candidate will be adept at answering business questions with data, developing complex modeling that serves business needs, and driving organizational changes using carefully derived methodology. Strong communication, analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are needed, along with the ability to be flexible, effectively prioritize and multi-task.  The ability to work within a team, take initiative and show strong attention to detail is also a requirement.


  • Actively monitor and analyze emerging trends, developments and players across independent adviser service providers to inform the company’s view of opportunities and approach to innovation.
  • Engage with leading industry service providers to identify and cultivate potential partnership recommendations.
  • Extract data from various databases and gather unstructured market data to identify opportunities and trends in adviser movement, influence capabilities development, and guide marketing campaigns.  Report results of data analysis in the form of graphs, charts and tables to support strategic discussions.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal business partners to strategize and develop innovative solutions for an industry-leading adviser experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert resource for the business development recruiting team related to LPL’s unique capabilities for advanced prospect opportunities.
  • Provide research, analysis, and project management on a variety of strategic initiatives.


  • Experience working within the independent wealth management industry, with a familiarity with existing RIA players and solutions.
  • A demonstrated entrepreneurial drive, grounded in tangible results.
  • Superior analytical skills with an ability identify relevant data, evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Strong communications skills, with the confidence to effectively present complex items to senior internal leadership and influential external stakeholders.
  • Experience working on a project team and meeting project timelines while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience with and MS Office suite, with a comfort in learning new technology tools
