What will you do?

The Sr. Consultant, Product Marketing is responsible for providing strategy and execution support for various large- and small-scale marketing initiatives and programs. This role is responsible for helping the Product Marketing team present LPL’s products and services in a way that strengthens our brand within the marketplace, generates awareness and demand among financial advisors, and drives adoption for LPL’s most important solutions. You’ll be required to work with a diverse blend of internal cross-functional teams, from creative and digital marketing experts to product management departments to sales and support organizations. This role will have a strong emphasis on supporting the full content lifecycle, from writing and development, to delivery and distribution, to ongoing content management.

More specifically, you’ll be required to:

  • Study LPL’s diverse suite of investment and technology products as well as our outsourced service offerings
  • Translate technical details of these solutions into user benefits, while shaping product narratives and key messaging for various audiences, including prospective and existing advisors
  • Support AVP, Product Marketing, with capturing business objectives, outlining key deliverables, determining project schedules, and defining measurable goals
  • Help execute product marketing strategies for individual product lines, including our go-to-market approach, ongoing promotional activities, and overall adoption campaigns as our product solutions continue to evolve
  • Craft compelling messages, in partnership with our extended Content Strategy team, to deliver content across marketing channels, including web, email, brochures, video, and more 
  • Evaluate marketing campaigns and initiatives using relevant performance metrics as well as feedback from existing and prospective advisors
  • Follow and analyze market trends to properly position LPL’s products within the competitive landscape

What are we looking for?

We want strong collaborators and content developers who can deliver comprehensive, cross-promotional marketing campaigns. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

What skills, experiences, and education are required?

  • 5-7 years related experience in product marketing, ideally within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or journalism
  • Superior writing and editorial skills required: must be able to distill complex subject matter into compelling, audience-tailored communications
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and content management systems is a plus
  • Experience with advisory, brokerage, or fintech products/platforms also a plus
  • Proven self-starter with strong project management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
