Job Overview

LPL’s Business Solutions team (https://www.lplbusinesssolutions.com/) is seeking customer service focused individual with a broad range of technical skills to provide technical support for our small to medium-sized business customers. The position will be supporting the Digital Office Solutions product line of LPL Business Solutions.

The Digital Office Solutions is a rapidly growing service from LPL that delivers a transformative suite of technology applications to independent financial advisors.  You will be part of a small team working alongside with external managed service providers to deliver world-class technology and service to our customers.

This position will be responsible for onboarding new customers, responding to inquiries and technical issues, assisting with implementing and training for new technology, developing relationships with new and existing customers, managing escalations and identifying areas of improvement based on client feedback. A blend of business and technical, the right candidate will have business and relationship management acumen while possessing technical capabilities typical to a small to medium size businesses.

What you will do

  • Be a part of a fun team that is passionate about customer service and new technologies
  • Provides small to medium sized business technology support remotely
  • Acts as a liaison between the client, LPL services, and vendors providing technology services and support to our clients
  • Ensure/improve client satisfaction to promote client retention
  • Acts as point of escalation for service related issues, potentially after hours or on weekends, as needed
  • Work with cybersecurity, cloud, and VoIP technologies, in developing and modifying products’ technical architecture
  • Onboarding/ offboarding clients to or from our Digital Office Solutions products
  • Acts as project manager for Advisor initiatives, working closely with engineers, LPL project managers and 3rd party vendors
  • Consult with Advisors to understand practice needs and recommend appropriate services to meet those needs
  • Participate in sales activities for new prospects, including participating in presentations of our services, assisting in proposal development, and overseeing deployment events for customers
  • Providing in-depth product demonstrations to new users and current subscribers
  • Support the product management initiatives by ideating, prototyping and testing new features
  • Build systems, procedures and reports for managing product delivery
  • With little direct supervision, problem solve a myriad of issues relating to compliance, operations, and technology concerns
  • Contributing to and maintaining a positive team culture that values high performance, collaboration, and transparency

What does your success look like in the first 90 days

  • Build a detailed understanding of Digital Office Solutions and broader LPL Business Solutions offerings
  • Learn how to deploy and support digital office solutions
  • Handle client calls and emails
  • Independently work with internal and external partners to handle client escalations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Identify technical architecture improvement opportunities in assigned products

Skills, experiences, and education required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Managed IT Services and/or IT Field Services
  • Strong technical knowledge of end-user technologies (Office 365 platform, end-point security, device management, remote management agents)
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Technical Requirements / Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating systems, small office networking systems, workstation configurations and user based cloud technology
    • Intermediate experience with MS Azure O365 tenant management
    • Working experience with VOIP technology and phone routing / call queues
  • General project management skills and ability to keep on top of ongoing projects and assignments
  • Grace under pressure, comfort with ambiguity, and a sense of humor
  • Ability to translate complex, ambiguous problems into executable solutions
  • Ability to work independently to identify the issues and implement solutions in a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is preferred
  • Prior experience in regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
